Who we are
The David Collins Leukaemia Foundation of Tasmania was formed in memory of David Collins, who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia in September 1977. Before his death, David expressed a wish that funds be raised to assist other patients, to support research and encourage allied health professionals to attend conferences. The Foundation was incorporated in 1980. Since that time, the executive committee members and supporters have raised money to fulfil David’s wishes and support Tasmanians across the state.

"The Professional Development Award has given me the opportunity to attend a vital seminar and receive a greater understanding of treatment and care for leukaemia patients in Tasmania."
How you can help
Donations of money, no matter how small, will go directly to support our core aims of supporting patients with leukaemia and other blood cancers, researchers and health professionals. All the committee members are volunteers, meaning that every dollar is spent on Tasmanians in Tasmania.
